Council aims to be faster, better and more cost effective in servicing our communities.

The Council's principal base is in Kaikohe, which is primarily a friendly rural town with a diverse population, lying in a rich agricultural belt in the North.  Kaikohe is situated mid way between historic Hokianga to the west and the beautiful Bay of Islands to the east.  The Council also has a number of service centres throughout its considerable geographic district.  Many Council staff choose to make their homes in a number of these diverse and unique Far North communities.

The key elements of investment, economic development and a focus on quality services for Far North residents and ratepayers are Council priorities.  Visit our website for more information www.fndc.govt.nz.
